By complete coincidence, Lorena Dromundo observed downhill mountain biking for the first time on their way home from equestrian training in Ajusco. Immediately enthralled by the thrill, they began practicing heavily and at the age of seventeen competed at the Pan American Championship and the World Cup shortly thereafter, where they placed seventh. Now, they have obtained impressive sponsorships, are among the top 15 downhill athletes in the world, and have a degree in communications from Anahuac University. Since 2018, they have been the President of the National Downhill Commission.
